Wallops are a sub-species of the Whomp enemy that are shaped like a wall with black eyes and yellow pupils. They first appear in Super Mario 3D Land.

They would make their debut appearance in Super Mario 3D Land. They can be found in many levels of the game and will block Mario's way by walking in front of him and take the same direction that the plumber does. They will jump whenever Mario jumps and slam to the ground. Once they have slammed to the ground, Mario can make their way around the Wallop, as it will take them a few seconds to get back to their feet. They can be destroyed by being stomped on or standing below them and using the Statue Mario or Statue Luigi.
