Toadsworth's first appearance was in Super Mario Sunshine. After this he would appear in spin off games such as Mario Superstar Baseball and Mario Super Sluggers as a playable character. He is a fair batter in both games hitting run balls mostly, and he is also good at fielding. Not much is known about what he does in the mushroom kingdom, he may be some kind of aid to Mario and Princess Peach.

Toadsworth would accompany Princess Peach on her trip to Rogueport and keep close to her before he ends up losing her. Mario would meet up Toadsworth in Rogueport, who is worried about the Princess and Mario would assure him that he will find her and save her. He would spend the remainder of the game in Rogueport's Inn. At the ending of the game, he is seen with the Mario Bros. and the Princess as they leave Rogueport as they head back to the Mushroom Kingdom.

Toadsworth invited Mario and his friends to attend a cruise. He is also the host of the board maps in this game.
