Summary

Super Mario Galaxy 2 is currently being developed, which was announced at this year's E3 convention. Not too much information has been released as of yet but from what we have seen from game trailers and previews, it looks set to be a massive hit across the world. Mario, the main protagonist, is making a stunning return in this sequel and will face new enemies, new planets and a new galaxy. Returning from the original Super Mario Galaxy is Bowser, the almighty beast who yet again, will get his claws on Princess Peach. With him, old enemies to face and new ones. Don't worry too much as there are a few new faces to Super Mario Galaxy 2 such as Yoshi, the lizard we all know and love. He will be seen helping Mario by offering him a ride and using different power ups to power through the different levels.

Gameplay

Super Mario Galaxy Wii brought a whole new way of gaming to the Wii. It was unique, magical and something that Mario fans hadn't seen before. The game used the Wii Mote and Nunchuk to navigate Mario across the galaxy. There was a combination of button pressing and remote shaking to do the job Mario needs to do. Super Mario Galaxy 2 will use the same control layout.

Another amazing piece of game-play was the camera angle on each planet. The camera angle tilted almost anyway possible, upside down, round and round. It hooked you into the game allowing you to feel like you are running across the bottom and top of a planet. Again, Super Mario Galaxy 2 will involve the same camera angles and mad game-play.

Characters

Mario

Mario: The main protagonist is back again to save the day. He will be back and possibly better than before with new power ups, new levels to battle through and new enemies to fend off.

Bowser

Bowser: The antagonist of the first game and mostly all Mario games is back. He has another scheme to kidnap the princess again. Along with Bowser will be his minions who may be tougher or weaker than before. Different minions will pose as different threats to Mario.

Yoshi

Yoshi: The green dinosaur finally premiers in the Super Mario Galaxy series. There are a few different power-ups for Yoshi which can make it turn into a balloon and float for a period of time and turn red and sprint for a period of time. No other power-ups have been confirmed as of this moment. Mario has also been seen riding on Yoshi's back in preview trailers of the game so this feature could come in handy.
