The Springboard or Springs is an item that could be seen in the Donkey Kong series and Mario series. In their first appearance from Donkey Kong, the Springboard could actually harm Mario though it would be helpful as well. Donkey Kong would throw these springs at Mario on the level 75m and if Mario is hit, he will lose a life. On the Game Boy version, there would be others that make an appearance like a Stationary Spring that will let Mario to jump higher than usual.

The Springboards could be moved on the Game Boy game and when Mario jumps at a Spring Block, it will freeze and the player can place the spring where ever they like on the level. The Spring will only stay there for a period of time before disappearing. The player can find out when the time will run out by the music growing faster. The timer could also be reset to 0 when another Spring is placed within the first Spring's time limit. When time is up, the Spring will return to the Spring block.

The Springboard would be a common obstacles in the Mario vs. Donkey Kong series. In Mario vs. Donkey Kong, they would be seen in many levels, including boos battles and would often be needed to finishing a level. They are placed usually on the ground though they will also appear in mid-air. They would return in Mario vs. Donkey Kong 2: March of the Minis, Mario vs. Donkey Kong: Minis March Again! and Mario vs. Donkey Kong: Mini-Land Mayhem as they will be needed to guide the Mini Mario through the level. They can bounce the minis into the air, or bounce them from left to right.

The Sprinboard would appear in Super Smash Bros. Brawl as a normal item. When it is jumped on, the player will be launched into the air. It could be used as a weapon when it is thrown at an opponent. It would also be a move for Sonic.

There would be two Springboards in Super Mario Galaxy and Super Mario Galaxy 2. There would be a blue springboard that is used to be jumped on while the orange Springboard will let Mario bounce extra high when he performs the Ground Pound on one of them.

The Trampoline would first appear in Super Mario Bros. and appear in many other Mario games. They would be used to jump to higher places in levels of the game. They would also appear in Super Mario World, New Super Mario Bros.. Paper Mario Series]], and other games. There would be a Jack-in-the-box act as a trampoline. In Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels there would be a green trampoline that would let Mario to travel in the air for a long period of time.

There would be a trampoline in the Club Nintendo comic Mario will hoch hinaus as it would play a large role. Mario would use one to push him high to try and impress Princess Peach though he would not come down for several hours.

Trampolines could be found on Noki Bay in Super Mario Sunshine where if they were touched by water, then would shrink and Mario could carry them around so he can reach higher places.

The Trampoline would be a Bros. Item in Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time after the player has obtained all four Bros. When the item is used, each Bros. will jump onto the trampoline, bounce high into the air, farther than on the top screen before the come down in the random order and stomp of the foe. If the player times it correctly, they will jump on the trampoline again for a second or more times until the timing is missed and the trampoline is knocked away.

There would be two minigames in Super Mario 64 DS and New Super Mario Bros. that use trampolines. Trampoline Time and Trampoline Terror. Players would have to draw lines with their stylus to make trampolines for the three Marios to bounce on them.
