|Ghost Container Description||"They might look like ruthless brutes, but these tender fellers have a heart of gold under normal circumstances. Just don't let them give you a round of applause!"|
Slammers are large muscular Ghosts encountered in Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon. They are one of the most common enemies in the game appearing in every Mansion, and almost every mission. Though they look mean they were actually quite friendly before King Boo shattered the Dark Moon and turned them nasty. They are strong and their attacks do more damage then the typical Greenie. They enjoy hanging out while haunting instead of causing trouble like Greenies because of their more serious personality. During gameplay one is seen reading a newspaper, while the other punches a locker at the Old Clockworks. Unlike Greenies they use their brute strength and toughness alone for attacks, and never use items. They attack by clapping their hands together, which (if Luigi is in range) gives good damage.
 Defeating Them
Despite their large size and high toughness Slammers are actually pretty easy to stun and suck up using the Poltergust 5000. Their attacks are powerful, but they are also pretty easy to avoid, they move slow and don't use items as shields which makes them easy to stun. To stun them Luigi must flash his light in their direction and then suck them up. The one thing that makes them a little tricky is that it takes longer to suck them up then most other Ghosts, which makes Luigi open to attacks by other ghosts while sucking.
