Shine Sprites

Shine Sprites are collectible items in the game Super Mario Sunshine. There are 120 Shine Sprites total hidden throughout the game. They are the main source of life on Isle Delfino. As you collect the Shine Sprites one by one, Isle Delfino will gradually get lighter (physically and spiritually) as the Shine Sprites are attracted to the center of the isle to the Shine Gate.
