Red Shell

What it Does

When you get a Red shell it will go after your enemies and chase them, instead of just going wherever it is shot and bounces off from like the Green Shell. If it hits the side, or anything else that is not a racer it will break immediately instead of bouncing off.

Pros

It will chase your enemies instead of going in random places.

Cons

Can be avoided by using a mushroom, and other ways that aren't very hard.

Dodging

If you are in first place, save a Banana, Green Shell or another Red Shell so that it will hit the banana or the shell instead of you. Also you can get lucky the shell will be to sensitive so it will run into the wall. A fake Item Box will not stop one of these from hitting you.

Strategy

Always make sure the person in front of you is not holding a banana, because if they are your shell will be useless.
