Background

Petey Piranha made his debut in Super Mario Sunshine. He's the first boss in Bianco Hills, and he is fought twice. You must spray water through your F.L.U.D.D. to fill up his stomach, and then ground pound his belly. This must be done three times. The next time you fight, he's asleep on a cloud. you must shoot him to wake him up. He'll start flying around, in which you must shoot him down, and then fill him with water and ground pound his stomach. You must do this three times. The next game Petey appeared in was Super Princess Peach. To fill up his stomach, you must cry for him to absorb the moisture, before you ground pound his stomach. In New Super Mario Bros., he appears as the end boss of World 5. He jumps up and slams his body down, but the floor is slippery because of the ice, so Petey falls. It is then when you ground pound his stomach.

Sports

The first game that Petey is playable in is Mario Golf: Toadstool Tour. He's the strongest player in the game, but has the worst accuracy. Next, he appeared in Mario Kart Double Dash!!. He's partnered with King Boo as a heavy weight. His kart is made of two green warp pipes called Piranha Pipes. He did not have hiss own special items, but could get any other players in the game. He did not appear in any other Mario Kart. He made another appearance in Mario Power Tennis as an unlockable character. His offensive power shot is Sludge racket, and his defensive is Piranha Swingback. He also appears as a playable character in both Mario SuperStar Baseball, and Mario Super Sluggers. In both Mario Baseball games, he uses his leaf arm instead of a bat. In Mario Strikers Charged he appears as the last unlockable captain.
