What it Does

Gives you a small boost.

Pros

Dodge Blue Shells with them, can make you move up a place, can make use of most shortcuts.

Cons

Boost isn't that long. If you use it in front of a wall by mistake then you'll be pinned against the wall until it wears out.

Dodging

You can't really dodge Mushrooms, just stay near the sides, and if you do get hit, you will be pushed to the side, but you will not have to restart (Ex, when you fall into Lava, you do restart, but if you get hit by a Mushroom, you won't restart).

Strategy

Use this item on off-road sections or to make use of shortcuts. If in first, hold onto it as it can allow you to dodge Blue shells.

Also comes in a 3, Triple Mushroom and a golden version, Golden Mushroom
