Moon Coins are a unique type of Star Coin found in World Star of New Super Mario Bros. 2 only. In World Star they take the place of Star Coins with three of them to collect per level like Star Coins, and they also are the same size. The one difference is that they have a picture of a crescent moon on them instead of a star. If all of these Moon Coins are collected during the levels of World Star they will unlock a Toad House with a Star.
