The Metal Mushroom Orb is a Self-Orb introduced in Mario Party 6. When the player uses this Orb, he/she is transformed into metal and becomes immune to effects of any Roadblock Orbs that are passed for the duration of the turn. The effects instantly end when the player runs out of spaces to move which means that opposing character spaces will still take effect. This is generally viewed as a defensive Self Orb as you can still only roll a max of 10 on the Dice Block, but become immune to Roadblock Orbs. It costs 10 coins to buy it from an Orb Shop. This orb would make a return appearance in Mario Party 7 with the same effect.

The Metal Mushroom is often viewed as the Mushroom form of the Metal Cap in that it transforms characters into their Metal forms for a time.
