[edit] Super Mario 64 DS

The Super Mushroom in Super Mario 64 DS would allow the player to turn their character into their larger size. They are able to destroy almost everything that comes into their path and when they break more than eight objects, they will receive a 1-Up for every additional object that is destroyed. The Super Mushrooms can be found in Bricks that are scattered throughout the courses and would be found in Bob-omb Battlefield. They would not gain any special types of jumps though Yoshi will be able to punch.

[edit] New Super Mario Bros.

In New Super Mario Bros., the Mega form will require the rare Mega Mushroom. It will occasionally appear in ? Blocks and when Mega Mario appears, there will be a bar that appears above his head and will fill up as the player destroys objects. When the bar reaches full, the player will receive five 1-Up Mushrooms. Mega Mario can squash the New Super Mario Bros. bosses in one shot, including Bowser. If he falls into a pit, purple toxic water, lava or time runs out, he will be defeated. When the power-up expires, he will just revert back to Super Mario. If a player tries to activate the Mega Mushroom in a tight space, the transformation will be cancelled and returned to the touch screen. Mega Mario can complete a level and destroy the Flagpole, which will fill a section of his meter.

[edit] Mario Party 3

The mini-game Toadstool Titan in Mario Party 3 would see the characters grow big after obtaining a Mushroom that is hidden in one of the Brick Blocks in each round. Once obtained, the character will be able to knock the other characters in a short period of time. They are not able to jump or control their moves, only charge in whatever direction they are facing.

[edit] Mario Party 4

There would be a Mega Mushroom in Mario Party 4 that would allow one character to grow large and hit two Dice Blocks. They are able to take 10 coins from an opponent when they squish. There is also a Super Mega Mushroom that works in the same way, only there is three Dice Blocks.

[edit] Paper Mario series

[edit] Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door

Mario or his partners in Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door can become huge when they use the item, Power Punch. It increases their attack power for a few turns. During the Bowser intermissions, if he eats enough Meat, he will be able to turn huge, invincible and destructive for a short period of time. Princess Peach can also swallow a potion to make her giant.

[edit] Super Paper Mario

During the events of Super Paper Mario, whenever one of the four heroes grabs a Mega Star, they will turn into their 8-bit forms but in giant proportions. While in this state, they are able to break blocks, defeat enemies and anything else that come in their path, similar to Mega Mario from New Super Mario Bros.. Both Mega Mario and Luigi are shorter but faster, while Bowser and Peach are tall but slow. In Chapter 3-1, there is a Koopa Troopa who will collect a Mega Star and become a massive 8-bit Koopa Troopa and try to attack the heroes. Princess Peach could also eat a Red Apple and become giant for a short period when she is in her comatose state.

[edit] Mario Super Sluggers

Players could become temporarily Mega in Mario Super Sluggers when they find a mushroom in the Graffiti Runner mini-game. While giant, they can create small earthquakes that stun all ground opponents for a brief period. They are still vulnerable to body checks, Chain Chomps, and characters with a star.

[edit] Mario Kart Wii

Mega Mushroom would be one of the items in Mario Kart Wii. When it is used, the character will turn Mega and will be able to squash any opponent who gets in their way while receiving a speed boost. The player is not immune to Thunderbolts, invincible racers or Bullet Bills. If they are hit by a Thunderbolt, they will revert back to their original size.

[edit] Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story

In Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story, one of Broquee Monsieur's attacks during the battle with Bowser is to hit a block and obtain a Mega Mushroom. When he is mega, he will try to ram into Bowser though it can be countered with a punch.

[edit] Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games
