Green Star 2
Mario Squared Galaxy is one of the galaxies found in Super Mario Galaxy 2. It can be found in World S. The Galaxy takes place on an 8-Bit Mario and is made as a reference to the Toy Time Galaxy in Super Mario Galaxy. There is an 8-bit Luigi planet that appears on the opposite and is used for the Purple Coin level. The yellow platforms don't spin and there is only 100 Purple Coins found on this mission.
 8-Bit Mario Planet
The 8-Bit Mario Planet is the starting planet for this Galaxy. It is shaped like the classic Mario sprite from Super Mario Bros.. The green pixels on the Galaxy are Shrinking Tiles, orange pixels are lava, and the yellow pixels are Flipswitches. The Comet Medal can be found at the bottom left of the planet.
 8-Bit Luigi Planet
This planet is only used for the "Luigi's Purple Coin Chaos" mission and is on the opposite side of the 8-Bit Mario Planet. It is shaped like the classic Luigi sprite from Super Mario Bros. The green pixels are Shrinking Tiles, and yellow pixels are solid yellow platforms. There are 100 Purple Coins on this planet and only Cosmic Clones are found on the planet to try and stop Mario from getting all 100 coins.
- Li'l Cinders (8-Bit Mario Planet only)
- Mobile Sentry Beam (8-bit Mario Planet only)
- Cosmic Clones (8-Bit Luigi Planet only)
 Make Mario a Star
The player will have to activate all of the Flip Switches found on the 8-Bit Mario Planet Half so that they can complete the 8-Bit Mario. Mario will need to avoid the Li'l cinders and lava. A Power Star can be found on the platform at the start of the Galaxy, while the Comet Medal is at the far left of the Planet.
 Luigi's Purple Coin Chaos
After unlocking the Prankster Comet, the player will be able to play on the 8-Bit Luigi Planet and will have to collect all 100 Purple coins within the two minute time limit. The Cosmic Clones will follow the player and need to be avoided. Once the player has collected all of the coins, the Star will appear on the platform where the player had started.
 Green Star 1
The first Green Star is found under a disappointing platform near the top of the back of "Mario's Hat" lava pool. The player will need to wait on the center of the platform before being dropped down to land on the star. If Mario misses, he will lose a life.
 Green Star 2
The second Green Star is found on another disappearing platform but found on the left on the "right hand" of the planet. Mario can just stand on the middle while the platform shrinks before falling down to the star. If Mario misses, he will lose a life.
