Mario Circuit 2 is the second mario circuit and is different compared to other tracks when you cross part of the track to reach the finish line. It originally appears in Super Mario Kart and would later appear in Mario Kart: Super Circuit. It has also been confirmed to appear in the upcoming Nintendo 3DS game, Mario Kart 7 as the second track for the Banana Cup.
It would be the final course in the Mushroom Cup. It is a typical Mario Circuit course that features Pipes, curves and Oil Slicks that have the same effect as bananas. There is also a large jump that the player will need to cross as it overlaps another part of the track.
It would be the first track for the Extra Flower Cup. It would use the background from Mario Circuit and an extra Item Box would be placed at the left of the track before the jump. The pipes and oil slicks would be removed in this version.
The SNES version of Mario Circuit 2 would appear in Mario Kart 7 as the second track for the Banana Cup. Pipes would be placed at the last turn before the finish line, as well has having a few turns lengthened in order to prevent riders from cutting the track by using the gliders.
