The Koopalings are seven of Bowser's children, who try to help him kidnap Peach and defeat Mario. First appearing in Super Mario Bros. 3, they are all fought as bosses. This would carry on in other appearances they've made, such as Super Mario World and New Super Mario Bros. Wii.
They have appeared in one of the Mario RPG games in the series, and that game was Mario and Luigi: Superstar Saga. However, they were not told of in the storyline. The only time they were seen in the entire game was at Bowser's Castle in the end of the game, where all seven of them were fought in order to get to Bowser.
The only known family members of the Koopalings are Bowser Jr. (their younger brother) and Bowser, their father. It is unknown exactly who their mother is, or if they have any other siblings. Note that although Baby Bowser also appeared in an RPG, he is not one of their siblings. He is Bowser as a child.

 Super Mario Bros 3
 Super Mario World
In Super Mario World, the Koopalings terrorized the various lands in the Mushroom Kingdom, and took control of the castles that rested in each area. For example, Iggy took over the very first land, known as Donut Land. All of them took one Yoshi Egg for themselves, and the other eggs were hidden all throughout the land that they took control of.

 New Super Mario Bros. 2
All seven of the Koopalings have been confirmed to return in New Super Mario Bros. 2. In a screenshot, Roy Koopa's battle looks a lot similar to the fight from Super Mario World while they maintain their magic septers from Super Mario Bros. 3 and New Super Mario Bros. Wii.
