 Notable Koopa Troopas
 Game Appearances
 Super Mario Series
Koopa Troopas would walk on two legs in Super Mario 3D Land unlike their appearance in the Super Mario Galaxy games. They act like they do in previous Mario platformer games. If they are stomped on by Mario, they will retreat into their shell and Mario can kick them and use them to attack other enemies. They will not be instantly defeated by a fireball from the Fire Flower.
Koopa Troopas appear in New Super Mario Bros. 2. They will have the same appearance as they did in previous New Super Mario Bros. games and if Mario touches a Gold Ring, they will turn into a Gold Koopa Troopa. While they are in this state and tossed, they will create a path of coins behind them that Mario can collect. If they hit an enemy along the way, then they will add five more coins to the players coin count.
 Mario Kart
Koopa's first appearance in a game as a playable character was Super Mario Kart, as the lightest of four weight classes. He would later appear in Mario Kart Double Dash!! as a lightweight paired with Paratroopa. His special items are the triple shells. He would also have an appearance as a driver in Mario Kart Wii as a lightweight. In Super Mario Kart, Koopa has two courses, both named Koopa Beach. Although he didn't appear as a playable character in Mario Kart 64, he does have his own track, Koopa Troopa Beach. He also has a track in Mario Kart Wii, Koopa Cape.
 Mario Tennis and Golf
He appeared in the first game in the Mario tennis series, Mario's Tennis. He didn't appear in another tennis until Mario Power Tennis. In the Mario Golf series, Koopa is a playable character in Mario Golf: Toadstool Tour.
 Mario Soccer and Baseball
Koopa is a playable sidekick in both Super Mario Strikers and Mario Strikers Charged as as a balanced sidekick. In Mario SuperStar Baseball, two Koopa's are playable characters: green and red, both in the balanced category. In Mario Super Sluggers, a red and green koopa will also be playable.
In Mario Party 4, Koopa is one of the five hosts, along with Boo, Shy Guy, Toad, and Goomba. He has his own map called Koopas' Seaside Soiree. In other Mario Party games, he runs banks, appears in mini-games, and as some money orbs.
Koopa Troopa would be a playable character in Mario Party 9.
Koopa Troopas would make an appearance in Paper Mario: Sticker Star. The Koopa Troopas would not wear sunglasses like they did in past Paper Mario titles. There are friendly Koopa Troopas in the game that help to attack enemies when the player uses a normal or Shiny shell sticker. They will attack by going into their shell and ramming into Mario. Mario can encounter Shiny Koopa Troopas in later parts of the game that do more damage and have higher defense.
