This track would first appear in Mario Kart Wii game with a watery theme in the Star Cup. It would return as a retro track in Mario Kart 7 as the first track for the Lightning Cup.

The track seems to take place on Shell Island from the advertisements found on the island. At the start of the course, there is a Boost Pad that will launch the racers to a cliff area; where they will need to avoid Goombas that are walking around. There is a sharp turn after that will take the racer to a river that rushes forward. It will provide the racer with a small boost. Near the end of the river, the player will drive down into a pipe that takes them to a glass tunnel inside of it. They will race through the tunnel until they use the Boost Pad ramp to exit the tunnel and go through a halfpipe towards the finish line.

-Use a Mushroom boost after the first boost ramp to cut through the grass where the Goombas are located.
-You can also use a Mushroom to cut through behind the giant red shell in the river. You can also cut off the first left turn in the water with a mushroom by going through the grass, between the two trees, instead of taking the full way around.

It would return as a retro course in Mario Kart 7. It would remain the same for the most part except there is a wall added to the right of the starting line, the Goombas are now a Grand Goombas, a blue ramp replaces the ramp that leads to the flowing river that allows the player to glide, and the glass tunnel takes place under water.
