What They Do
Item boxes are, simply, cubes that give you items. They are found in several Mario games such as:
- Mario Tennis
- Mario Power Tennis
- Mario Kart 64
- Mario Kart DS
- Mario Kart Double Dash!!
- Mario Kart Super Circuit
- Mario Kart Wii
- Mario Hoops 3 on 3
Where They're Found
Item boxes are obtained in different ways in every different Mario series. In the Mario Tennis series, item box is located on top of the net. In the Mario Kart series, they're found along the track. In the Mario basketball series, the item boxes are found on panels on the court.
In Other series
Although items are available in the Mario Baseball, Mario Soccer, and Mario Party series, they're not obtained through item boxes, but by either automatically obtaining them, or by buying them.
