The Goomba is the original bad guy from Super Mario Bros.. He is the easiest enemy to defeat, by just jumping on it. It has made it's way from the really first Mario game, all the way to the latest Mario game ever made and he will continue to show up in almost every game. They are a brown like creature in the shape of a mushroom. They have no arms and just walk around and charge at you. One single jump and it will disappear. There's also different type of Goombas, such as the Giant Goomba and the Paragoomba, both of which takes more than one simply jump to defeat.

Goombas would appear in Super Mario 3D Land. They would act similar to the Goombas in the Super Mario Galaxy games. Fake Cardboard Goombas would appear as well and a new subspecies, Tail Goombas. Mario can collect a Super Leaf from defeating some Tail Goomba enemies. There was a planned Gold Tail Goomba but it would be removed.
Goombas would reappear in New Super Mario Bros. 2 where they would maintain their appearance from New Super Mario Bros. Wii. Goombas are able to turn into gold in this game when Mario touches a Gold Ring. When they are hit, they will produce five coins. Bone Goombas would make their first appearance in this game. They are Goombas that are blue with a skull on their head.
Goombas are set to appear in the upcoming game New Super Mario Bros. U. His roles will be the same as previous titles.

Goombas would return in Paper Mario: Sticker Star and would look similar to the Goombas that appear in the mainstream Mario games. Their feet would be brown instead of the red and their eyebrows aren't as thick as they are in past Paper Mario games. The Goombas have more HP and are stronger in this game then they are in past titles. They are able to turn into Paper-Cone Goombas, which are Goombas that resemble paper airplanes that can fly towards Mario. There is also a 2-Fold Goomba, Mural Goombas and Shiny Goombas.
Mario would fight a trio of Goombas that are fought in Decalburg that help demonstrate the sticker mechanic. They will also guard the first Comet Piece of the game. The first major boss of the game would be the Megasparkle Goomba that is a Goomba that went insane from the Royal Sticker.
 Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars
 Mario Kart Series
Goombas would appear in five Mario Kart games, Mario Kart: Super Circuit, Mario Kart: Double Dash!!, Mario Kart DS, Mario Kart Wii and Mario Kart 7. They would act as obstacles on tracks as they will cause a racer to spin-out when hit. They can be destroyed by an item and they will drop a Mushroom when defeated. Goomboss from Super Mario 64 DS would appear in Mario Kart DS as a boss in Mission Mode. They would also be audience members in Mario Kart: Super Circuit when the player is on the podium.
Goomba would appear in mainly minigames in Mario Party 9. They could be seen in Goomba Bowling, where the player will toss a Koopa Shel across a bridge and try to hit the Goombas. Goombas would be seen in Goomba Spotting where the Goombas will pass by the player. Goomba Village would have the player trying to guess which Toad House has the Goombas.
