Game History
 Super Mario Series
The Golden Mushroom is set to appear in New Super Mario Bros. 2. When this mushroom is touched by Mario, it will allow him to collect 50 or 100 coins. The Golden Mushroom has more of a metallic look to it and will not have the crown that it has in the Mario Kart Series.
The Golden Mushroom in most games would allow the racer to gain an endless amount of boosts for a limited time. In Mario Kart: Double Dash!!, it would be the special item for Toad, Toadette, Petey Piranha and King Boo. It would replace the Super Mushroom from Mario Kart 64.
