A staple of the Mario sports series, Bananas again play the role of a land mine. Players who touch a Banana peel fall to the ground and lose the ball if in possession. Bananas come in sets of three or five normal sized items. There also is a bigger version of the banana peel which comes in a set of one, and it does not leave behind three smaller banana peels when someone touches it like they do in "Mario Kart: Double Dash!!!".
