The Flutter Orb was originally called the Wiggler Capsule when it was introduced in Mario Party 5. It served as a replacement for the Magic Lamp as landing on a space a Wiggler Capsule was thrown would make Wiggler show up and ask the player if he/she would like to go to the Star Space. If the player responded with a yes, then Wiggler would transform into Flutter and take the player straight to the Star Space. In Mario Party 6, it received a name change to the Flutter Orb and became a Self-Orb. It was the most expensive Orb in the game costing a staggering 30 coins, 50 if you factor in the 20 coins it takes to buy a Star. This Orb is viewed as a game-changing Orb since a player can instantly be taken to a Star Space even if he/she is way out of position to get to the current Star Space on the board. All of the effects and coin cost remained the same as the Orb would make a 3rd appearance in Mario Party 7. It is worthy of note that this Orb was only available on the Grand Canal and Bowser's Enchanted Inferno! board maps in Mario Party 7.
