The Cooligans are a type of Penguin enemy found in New Super Mario Bros. Wii and later as a sled in Mario Party 9. They are medium sized and they slide on their belly with the goal of running into Mario. As the word Cool in his name implies he is supposed to be a cool Penguin with a snazzy pair of sunglasses.

[edit] New Super Mario Bros. Wii
His only appearance as an actual enemy was in New Super Mario Bros. Wii where he is encountered during a couple ice levels. He slides around with his goal being to hit Mario and make him take damage. If Mario jumps on him he will lose his sunglasses and move much slower, and more awkwardly. He can be defeated with the, Ice Flower, Fire Flower, and Penguin Suit power ups. Also Invincible Mario will take him out along with a ground pound. During the levels there is a never ending stream of him which makes him hard to avoid at certain points.
