|Used By||Mario, Luigi|
|Required Item||Cloud Flower|
|Effect||Make cloud platforms and step over them.|
|First Appeared In||Super Mario Galaxy 2|
Cloud Mario has only appeared in Super Mario Galaxy 2. It is a common power-up found in the game and is used prominently in Fluffy Buff Galaxy and Cloudy Court Galaxy. When Mario has grabbed the Cloud Flower, he will turn into Cloud Mario and will be able to create clouds by shaking the Wii Remote. The cloud can be used for a platform for a short period of time before it disappears. He can only use it three times before he has to grab another Cloud Flower to refill the clouds. When Mario creates a cloud, one will disappear from behind him, letting the player know how many clouds remain. Similar to Bee Mario, if he touches water, he will return to normal Mario. Mario will be able to jump farther and fall slowly when he is using this power-up. He can also step on clouds without them disappearing like they do in his normal state.
The power-up would also appear in Puzzle Plank Galaxy and can be used to defeat the boss Bugaboom. Cloud Mario will need to collect five Silver Stars in Throwback Galaxy. Starshine Beach Galaxy, will have Cloud Mario climb to the top of the cloudy Tower of the main planet. In Bowser Jr.'s Boom Bunker, Cloud Mario will be needed to climb high enough to Ground Pound the cockpit of Bowser Jr.'s Boomsday Machine and defeat Bowser Jr. Cloud Mario would finally appear in Grandmaster Galaxy and used to navigate an electric maze.
Cloud Mario would return in Mario Tennis Open as one of the costumes that can be unlocked for your Mii character. It is unlocked after ten characters have become star characters. A Tennis Racket can also be purchased for 1,800 coins.
