Clip Guys appear in Paper Mario: Sticker Star during the events of World 3. They attack Mario by trying to trap him in a paper clip. Players can foil his attack by pressing the A button rapidly, however if players fail he will trap Mario with his paper clip. While Mario is trapped he won't be able to move for some turns. After he loses his paper clip he becomes a normal Shy Guy. He often appears with Paint Guys.
