Mario - The main character of the game, is controllable in the overworld, and is out to save Peach.
Luigi - Luigi helps out Mario to find Princess Peach.
Baby Mario - Baby Mario is Mario's past and is the kid version of Mario. Mario & Baby Mario are played with at the same time.
Baby Luigi - Baby Luigi is Luigi's past and is the kid version of Luigi. Luigi & Baby Luigi are played with at the same time.
Princess Peach - Princess Peach is the one who is kidnapped as usual. Mario, Luigi, Baby Luigi, & Baby Mario are all out to save Princess Peach.
Baby Princess Peach - Whenever the group travels back to the past they see Baby Princess Peach.
Toadsworth - Toadsworth is the caretaker of Princess Peach and is the one who teaches Mario and the gang secret moves.
Young Toadsworth - Young Toadsworth is able to do more then the older Toadsworth and helps the older Toadsworth who teaches Mario and the gang secret moves.
