|Appearance(s)||Mario Party 2, Mario Party 3 and Mario Party 4|
|Effect||Steals 20 coins(30 in Mario Party 4) from all players the user passes on the board that turn.|
|Coin Cost||20 coins(Mario Party 2); 10 coins(Mario Party 3); rare gift from Bowser(Mario Party 4)|
The Bowser Suit item made its debut in Mario Party 2 and would continue to appear in both Mario Party 3 and Mario Party 4 before being discontinued as of Mario Party 5. This item would transform the player into Bowser himself for just 1 turn. The player would be able to steal 20 coins from anyone s/he passed on the board. In Mario Party 2, the item was quite rare as it would usually only appear late in the game and it costs 20 coins to buy. It became more common in Mario Party 3 as you could only buy it in Baby Bowser's Item Shop for 10 coins. It would, however, appear in Item Games much more often. In Mario Party 4(as well as Mario Party 3), Bowser would sometimes give you the Bowser Suit as a gift of sorts. This was extremely rare in Mario Party 4. You would also be able to steal 30 coins from other players in Mario Party 4. The appearance of the Bowser Suit changed from Mario Party 3 to Mario Party 4. Many people call it the "Bowser Mushroom" in Mario Party 4 because it resembles a Mushroom.
