|Ally||Bowser, Koopa Troop|
|Debut Appearance||Super Mario Bros. 3|
|Latest Appearance||Paper Mario: Sticker Star|
Boomerang Bros. is a type of Koopa, similar to the Hammer Bros.. Instead of throwing hammers like the Hammer Bros., the Boomerang Bros. will use Boomerangs that move back and forth to them. These enemies are rarely seen in the Mario games.
 Super Mario Series
Boomerang Bros. made their first appearance in Super Mario Bros. 3. They had normal colored skin, plus black helmets and shells. Their role is to throw boomerangs at Mario. However the boomerang would come back at Mario on it's way back to the bro. Thus making them fairly hard to avoid.
Boomerang Bros. made their first more modern appearance in New Super Mario Bros. for the Nintendo 3DS. In this game they take on their more modern colors, such as blue helmets and shells. Their skin has also changed to a more yellowish color. Their roles remain the same however which is to throw boomerangs at Mario. Boomerang Bros. appear pretty rarely in this game, making only a few level appearances. There would also only be one per level. They can be defeated by jumping on them, or using a power up.
A single Boomerang Bro appears in New Super Mario Bros. Wii. He is encountered in only one level.
Boomerang Bros. make a more steady appearance in Super Mario Galaxy 2 for the Nintendo Wii. This will be the Boomerang Bros. first appearance in a 3D title. In 3D their attacks are still the same, throwing their boomerangs at Mario which he must avoid. If Mario gets hit he will lose some health. They can be defeated by jumping on them, or using a power up. They can also be knocked down and stunned for a short time after Mario performs his spin move on them. They can than be spun again or jumped on to be defeated.
Boomerang Bros. also appear in Super Mario 3D Land. This will be their second 3D appearance in a Mario game. They appear pretty often throughout the game and can be defeated in many ways. Sometimes when Mario or Luigi defeat a Boomerang Bro. it will leave a Boomerang Flower. His actions in this game are the same as Super Mario Galaxy 2 with him jumping around and throwing boomerangs at Mario. The boomerangs can be jumped on to deflect them or they can be deflected using the Super Leaf or the Statue Leaf. Boomerang Mario can also destroy the Boomerang Bros. boomerangs with his own.
Boomerang Bros. again appear in New Super Mario Bros. 2 where his roles are the same as in New Super Mario Bros., and New Super Mario Bros. Wii. Except in this game his boomerangs can home in on players.
Boomerang Bros first appear during the events of World 3 in Paper Mario: Sticker Star where two are blocking Marios path. Mario must defeat them to pass and after this they appear as common enemies. They attack by throwing their boomerangs at Mario.
 Mario Baseball Series
The Boomerang Bro became a playable character for the first time in the Mario Baseball series.
Mario Superstar Baseball was the first baseball game that Boomerang Bro appeared as a playable character. The original character to unlock in the game is Hammer Bro. and the Boomerang Bro is simply one of his colors. A third color you can choose from is the red Fire Bro.. The only difference between them is that the Hammer Bro. holds a hammer for his bat, while the Boomerang Bro. and the Fire Bro. hold a boomerang and a regular bat. The Boomerang Bros. hits tend to curve more than his other comrades. On Bowser's team you can play as all three bros. as separate characters during story mode.
The Boomerang Bro. comes back in the second game in the series for the Wii, Mario Super Sluggers. In this game the three bros. are separate characters from the beginning which enables you to put all three of them on your team. All three are power hitters and decant fielders, again their stats are marked by certain differences. The Boomerang Bro. has slightly less fielding stats in this game than his counterparts.
