[edit] Super Mario Bros.
The Bill Blasters first appearance was in Super Mario Bros. released for the SNES. They appear in quite a few levels in the game and are used to shoot Bullet Bills at Mario. Mario must avoid them our he will take a hit. Each Bullet Bill shot out can be jumped on to be defeated but the Bill Blasters themselves can not be defeated. Mario can stand on them to avoid the Bullet Bills being shot out.
[edit] Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels
In Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels Bill Blasters return and play the same exact role as in Super Mario Bros.
[edit] Super Mario Bros. 3
They again appear in Super Mario Bros. 3 where they play the same roles. They are often encountered during Air Ship levels.
[edit] Super Mario World
They also appear in Super Mario World where their roles are the same.
[edit] Super Mario 64 and Super Mario 64 DS
Bill Blasters made their first 3D appearance in Super Mario 64 for the Nintendo 64. They are fairly rare and are most commonly encountered in Whomp's Fortress. It looks like a gray box in this game with a hole for the Bullet Bill to shoot out of. The Bullet Bill this Bill Blaster shoots will track after Mario. If Mario gets hit he will take damage. The Bill Blaster cannot be defeated. In Super Mario 64 DS it's looks and actions are identical.
[edit] New Super Mario Bros.
Bill Blasters make another 2D comeback in New Super Mario Bros. for the Nintendo DS. Their roles are identical to their roles in the Super Mario Bros. Series. In this game however Bill Blasters themselves can be destroyed by Mega Mario. Mario can become Mega for a short time after he obtains a Mega Mushroom. The Bill Blasters also rotate in this game so they can shoot Bullet Bills to the left and right.
[edit] New Super Mario Bros. Wii
Bill Blasters again appear in New Super Mario Bros. Wii for the Nintendo Wii. They play the same exact role in this game as in New Super Mario Bros., and they are encountered pretty commonly throughout the game. In this game they cannot be defeated as in previous games because of the lack of the Mega Mushroom.
[edit] Super Mario Galaxy
In Super Mario Galaxy Bill Blasters return but appear differently. They are typically fixed in place on the sides of Air Ships, structures, and planets. The Bullet Bills they blast out track Mario as in Super Mario 64. However in this game they are used to blast open large glass containers which contain items. As the Bullet Bills track Mario he can lure them into the object they need to hit.
[edit] Super Mario Galaxy 2
Bill Blasters play the same exact role in this game as in Super Mario Galaxy.
[edit] Super Mario 3D Land
Bill Blasters are set to appear in the next upcoming Mario title for the Nintendo 3DS Super Mario 3D Land. They are seen to play a very similar role in this game is in Super Mario Galaxy. The Bill Blasters themselves look similar to both galaxy games.
