Big Bone Piranha Plants are a large verity of Bone Piranha Plant encountered in New Super Mario Bros. 2. They attack by biting in the direction of the player and their large size makes them hard to avoid. If Mario touches them he will sustain damage. They can be defeated with a Koopa Shell or while using a Gold Flower. Unlike Bone Piranha Plants they are to large for Warp Pipes so they are only encountered on their own without a Warp Pipe.
