The Mega Jump badge.

Badges are items that would appear in the Paper Mario Series and Mario & Luigi Series. They would have a variety of uses throughout these games as they can either increase stats, add new moves or give Mario or Luigi unusual abilities.

[edit] Game History

[edit] Paper Mario Series

Mario can only equip a certain amount of Badges that depends on how much Badge Points it needs. The better the item is, the more BP it will require for it to be equipped. BP can be increased when Mario levels up after collecting 100 Star Points.

[edit] Paper Mario

They could be found throughout the Mushroom Kingdom whether it be hidden in chests or blocks. Some are only able to be purchased from Rowf in Toad Town or from Merlow for Star Pieces.

[edit] Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door

Badges would be purchased in Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door from the badge shop in Rogueport or traded for Star Pieces with Dazzle in the Rogueport Sewers. Occasionally Ms. Mowz will be able to steal badges from enemies during a battle or they can be picked up from after defeating an enemy.

[edit] Super Paper Mario

Badges would be eliminated from Super Paper Mario because there is no RPG style battling in the game. Two items in this game use to be two badges in previous games: Power Plus and HP Plus, they would still have the same effect as they did in the past games.
