Airship Fortress is the final course of the Star Cup in Mario Kart DS. There's plenty of danger to be had on this course as you'll have to avoid things such as Bullet Bills, columns of fire, and Monty Moles. This track is preceded by Mario Circuit in the Star Cup.

It would have a Cannon Pipe near the end of the track and have harmful obstacles like the Bullet Bills, Rocky Wrenches, and more. It is the only course in the Mario Kart Series that has Bullet Bills being shot at the player. Missions 6-2 and 7-7 would take place in the track.

[edit] Course Layout

It starts off with a straight away, where Bullet Bills are being shot from a Cannon Pipe. After passing the section, the player will turn and get a boost running over the Dash Panel to enter the deck of the Airship. The racer will have to avoid the Rocky Wrenches that pop out of their trenches to attack the racer. They will next take a tight turn into the cellar where there are crates that will contain Mushrooms or Banana Peels inside of it. The room after will have burners that move from side to side and if touched, will spin the racer out. They will next use the Cannon Pipe to launch into the tower of an old fortress with a hole that the cannon clearly aimed. Once they are into the crack, they will reach the finish line.

[edit] Missions

One of the missions in the game will have the player hit 15 Rocky Wrenches using the Star item. They only have 30 seconds to complete it.

[edit] Mario Kart 7

The Airship Fortress is the third track for the Lightning Cup. After passing the starting line, the drop-offs can be used to perform a trick and gain a small boost. The Bullet Bills have been replaced with Banzai Bills and are shot out faster. The interior of the ship would get some major changes and the cannon would turn into a glider pad.
